Lower Antelope Canyon is more challenging than Upper Antelope Canyon. You go “underground” through a crack by descending a ladder. The canyon itself its steeply downhill and winding, with numerous metal ladders and stairs. This makes photography a bit more challenging but also more exciting.
Upper Antelope Canyon is considered by many to be the most beautiful and photogenic slot canyon in the world. The most amazing feature is the appearance of shafts of sunlight into the otherwise dark canyon. This leads to fabulous photo opportunities.
